Do I need a receipt to justify funds transfers to Spendesk?

You need to consider Spendesk as a bank account. This is the reason why whenever you make a wire/card transfer to your Spendesk account, it's similar to a transfer done from one account - your business account - to another - your Spendesk account.

You'll find the related bookkeeping entry in your monthly account statement that you can download from: "Settings" > "Your wallet" > "Account statements", then in the "Download" column click on the arrow and then on the chosen export format (either .csv or .pdf).
